The Illinois State Archaeological Survey (ISAS), a division of the Prairie Research Institute, investigates, preserves, and interprets the archaeology of Illinois. ISAS expertise and data assist Illinois communities, businesses, institutions, and people in making informed decisions about management and preservation of our irreplaceable cultural heritage.

The Health Care Engineering Systems Center (HCESC) at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign provides clinical immersion and fosters collaboration between engineers and physicians. They design collaborative solutions to improve health care outcomes utilizing our expertise in simulation technologies, smart health systems, data analytics, human factors, and medical robotics.

CEME is dedicated to enhance education, technology, understanding, and research activities on the fundamental topic of electric machinery. The center is nurturing a new generation of engineers for contributions to rotating electric machines and electromechanics through specialized training and experiences at all levels of higher education.

The Materials Research Lab (MRL) fosters interdisciplinary research at the forefront of materials science by bringing together world-class faculty, staff, postdocs, students, and industry in materials science, condensed matter physics, and materials chemistry in a highly-collaborative, progressive research environment.
