Advancing the Frontiers of Science and Engineering to Resolve the Nation's Security Challenges
Overview
The University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign is a part of Sandia's Academic Alliance Program. The Sandia Academic Alliance Program aims to solve significant problems by partnering with universities that possess key academic disciplines, relevant research capabilities, and a strong commitment to national security. Universities work with Sandia to solve big problems, sustain and engage human capital, and accelerate the adoption of new technology. The partnership allows UIUC faculty, researchers, postdoctoral fellows, and students the opportunity to collaborate with researchers and leverage Sandia's capabilities.
Sandia National Laboratories is located on the UIUC campus at the Research Park in partnership with the Applied Research Institute. Sandia’s interest areas to pursue in this location include complex systems design, data sciences, digital manufacturing, and power-on-demand solutions.
