Ensure the Safety and Welfare of the Illinois Research Community

The University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign is looking for a Director of Research Safety to oversee the development and implementation of programs and standards that support the safe use of biological, chemical, and radiological materials in laboratories, shops, farms, and other facilities on campus.

About the Division of Research Safety

The Division of Research Safety (DRS) provides oversight of research safety and technical assistance to investigators. DRS is a unit of the Office of the Vice Chancellor for Research & Innovation and promotes a culture of safety through the implementation and oversight of comprehensive safety programs, building partnerships, and providing key services.
