University of Illinois Scientists Win $9.5M to Study Emerging Pathogens

The Illinois and Colorado team includes UIUC biochemistry professors Beth Stadtmueller and Nicholas Wu; chemistry professors Wilfred van der Donk and Angad Mehta; and Jenna Guthmiller, assistant professor of immunology and microbiology at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus.

Researchers at UIUC have been awarded $9.5M from the Howard Hughes Medical Institute to study how to prevent viruses from spreading among animals and humans. The team includes Beth StadtmuellerNicholas WuWilfred van der DonkAngad Mehta, and others.
