New Study Finds That Reading for Pleasure Can Strengthen Memory in Older Adults

Researchers at the Beckman Institute recently worked with the Champaign Public Library on a study of reading for pleasure, concluding that "regular, engaged leisure reading can strengthen memory skills in older adults."
