Naira Hovakimyan is leading the new Center for Autonomous Vehicles in Air Transportation Engineering, an effort that envisions making flying taxi cabs a reality. AVIATE is part of NASA’s University Leadership Initiative, and UIUC is one of just four ULIs awarded in 2022.
