Translational Biomedical Research

What is Translational Research?

Translational Research has been identified by National Institutes of Health (NIH) as a road map initiative. Road map initiatives are: Areas of research that hold major opportunities for advancing medicine in the 21st century.

NIH has defined Translational Research as the process of applying ideas, insights and discoveries generated through basic scientific inquiry to the treatment or prevention of human disease.
