History Professor's Book Examines Racism in Russia

Under Putin's leadership, Russia is one of the world's most dangerous countries for racial violence. But that hasn't always been the case, according to Eugene Avrutin. His new book, "Racism in Modern Russia: From the Romanovs to Putin,” explores "the history of racism in Russia over the past 150 years, from the end of the tsarist regime to Putin’s rule."
