Animal Facility Access Policy
When access to the animal facility is requested for a project participant, the request must be submitted by the PI in writing, providing the active protocol number in which the person will be participating. Emailed requests (daradministrators@ad.uiuc.edu) are accepted from the PI or their designate but must indicate that the PI is copied on the message. Prior to granting this access the following should be done:
- Verification that the person is listed on the protocol that has been provided.
- Verification that the person is enrolled in an OHS Plan.
- Verification that the person has completed the Basic Training Module.
- The project participant must complete a facility user orientation with the facility supervisor.
